Say where you knew them

When someone posts news naming your group, you get one private email. Once a year we send a short note so you know the alert is still on.

Sad news: our classmate Peter Mwangi
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our classmate Peter Mwangi (Alliance High School, class of 2001) after a short illness. The funeral service will be at PCEA Church, Kikuyu, on Saturday 4 October at 10am, followed by burial at his home in Limuru. Classmates are welcome.

Have news for a group?
A reunion, a fundraiser, news of a death, or just “anyone from Alliance 2001 living near Hiroshima?” Write it once and Relayvant sends it to the people who asked to hear from that group, including the ones who aren't in any chat. Replies come back to you through a masked address.
Post news- Name the group the way people write it, and for a class, the year: that is what finds the people waiting.

Is it free?
Yes, to watch. Whoever posts news pays to send it: $2.00 to preview how many people it reaches, then $0.10 for each person it is sent to.
Will I get a lot of email?
No. Only posts that name your group reach you — for a class, the school and the year — and at most 3 in a week unless you raise that limit on your alert. Once a year we send one short note saying your alert is still on, so the email that matters doesn't come from a sender you've forgotten.
What can I post to a group?
News of a death and the funeral, a reunion, a fundraiser, or simply a question: "anyone from Alliance 2001 living near Hiroshima?" It reaches the people who asked to hear from that group, wherever they live now.
Who posts the news?
Anyone: classmates, colleagues, committees, alumni associations, families, schools and churches. A post reaches only the people who asked for news of that group.
What if the name is common?
Write it the way people usually write it, such as "Alliance High School" rather than "Alliance", and add the town. A post must name the group to reach you; the town helps tell two groups with the same name apart.
Can I watch more than one group?
Yes. Make one alert for each: your secondary school, your university, a past employer, your home village.
Will they see my email?
No. A post reaches you without the sender learning your address, and if you reply, your reply goes through a masked address too.
Do I need an account?
To save an alert you sign in with Google, and you must be 18 or older.
